Make espresso puck preparation faster and more consistent. Designed exclusively for 58mm portafilter baskets, this spring-loaded rotary WDT tool uses 12 precisely arranged needles to break apart coffee clumps and redistribute grounds throughout the basket.

Simply press the handle gently—the internal mechanism drives the needles through a smooth rotating path. Release the handle, and the tool automatically returns to its starting position, ready for the next press.

12-Needle Rotating Distribution

Twelve needles move through multiple overlapping paths to distribute coffee grounds from the center toward the edges of the basket. The dense needle arrangement helps reduce untreated areas, loosen compacted grounds and create a more uniform coffee bed before tamping.

The result is a more consistent puck structure that helps reduce channeling and supports a more balanced espresso extraction.

Press-to-Rotate Springback Mechanism

No manual stirring and no complicated movements. A gentle downward press activates the rotating distribution system, while the built-in spring automatically returns the handle after each use.

Two or three light presses are all it takes to prepare the coffee bed for tamping.

Adjustable Needle Depth

The needle depth can be adjusted to suit different coffee doses and basket depths. Loosen the adjustment collar, set the desired depth and tighten it securely before use.

This allows the needles to reach deeper into the coffee bed without scraping the bottom of the basket.

Built-In Magnetic Dosing Ring

A magnetic dosing ring is integrated directly into the bottom of the WDT tool. It attaches securely to the 58mm portafilter, helping keep the tool centered while containing coffee grounds during rotation. No separate funnel installation is required, creating a cleaner and more convenient puck-preparation workflow.

Purpose-built for standard 58mm espresso portafilter baskets. The dedicated sizing keeps the tool properly aligned over the basket for a stable and repeatable puck-preparation workflow.

The removable magnetic dosing funnel helps keep coffee grounds inside the portafilter while the needles rotate, reducing spills around your coffee station.

After use, place the tool on its storage base to protect the needles and keep your espresso setup neat and organized.

How to Use

1. Place the WDT tool directly onto your 58mm portafilter.
2. Let the built-in magnetic dosing ring align and secure the tool.
3. Adjust the needle depth if necessary.
4. Gently press the handle 2–3 times.
5. Lift off the tool and tamp as usual.
