Electric Coffee WDT Tool 58mm Auto Rotation Magnetic Induction
58mm Size & Premium Aluminum Alloy Material
Designed to fit standard 58mm portafilters and filter baskets, seamlessly integrating into your espresso setup. Crafted from high-quality aluminum alloy—durable, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and easy to clean, built for daily barista use.
10 Needle Design (9 Fine + 1 Thick)
Features 9 thin needles to evenly break up coffee ground clumps, ensuring uniform distribution and preventing channeling during extraction. The central thick needle acts as a stabilizer, keeping the tool steady when placed flat on a table.
Magnetic Induction Auto On/Off Switch
Smart magnetic induction design—simply place the tool on a portafilter or filter basket, and the needles will automatically insert into the basket (adapting to its height) and start rotating. Lift the tool by the handle to stop rotation instantly, no manual buttons needed.
3 x 3A Batteries Powered
Equipped with 3 built-in 3A batteries (included) to provide stable power for smooth, consistent rotation. Easy to replace when needed, ensuring long-lasting use for daily brewing sessions.
Adaptive Height & Effortless Operation
The needles adapt to the height of your filter basket automatically, no manual adjustment required. The hands-free auto rotation saves time and effort, making it ideal for busy cafes or home baristas who value efficiency.
Proper Placement Reminder
For safe storage, place the tool flat or horizontally when not in use—do not stand it vertically on concave surfaces to avoid damage to the needles or internal mechanism.
Barista-Grade Uniform Distribution
Eliminates uneven ground distribution and clumps, optimizing water flow during espresso extraction. Helps create a dense, uniform coffee puck, unlocking rich, balanced flavor and a velvety crema.

Frequently Asked Questions
A WDT tool is an espresso preparation accessory that uses fine needles to break up coffee clumps and redistribute the grounds inside the filter basket. WDT stands for Weiss Distribution Technique. The goal is to create a more even coffee bed before tamping.
A WDT tool can help reduce clumps and uneven density within the coffee bed, which may lower the risk of channeling and make espresso preparation more repeatable. It cannot correct an unsuitable grind size, incorrect dose or poor tamping technique, so it should be used as one part of the complete puck-preparation process.
Add the ground coffee to the filter basket, then move the needles gently through the coffee using small circular or overlapping movements. Begin near the bottom of the basket and gradually work upward until visible clumps are broken apart and the grounds are evenly distributed. Level the surface gently before tamping.
Always use the WDT tool before tamping. The needles are designed to distribute loose coffee grounds. After distribution is complete, tamp the coffee bed once with a level, controlled press. Do not use the needles on an already compressed puck.
No single tool can completely prevent channeling. WDT may help improve distribution, but extraction also depends on grind size, coffee dose, basket fit, tamping, water flow and the condition of the coffee puck.
The needles should move through most of the coffee bed, including the deeper grounds where hidden clumps may remain. Work gently near the bottom of the basket without pressing forcefully or repeatedly scraping the metal surface.
Remove loose coffee grounds from the needles after each use with a soft brush or dry cloth. Wipe the body with a slightly damp cloth when necessary, then dry it thoroughly. Do not immerse spring-loaded, gear-driven, magnetic or electric mechanisms in water unless the product instructions specifically allow it.
